Nicole and Art’s Wedding Photography Album

Trash the Dress – Maryangela and Alan on St. Pete Beach

I knew after I photographed Maryangela and Alan’s wedding on St.Petersburg Beach at The Tradewinds, that their trash the dress session was going to be a blast. After all, they are both stunning and a complete treat to photograph- which really translates into a wedding photographer’s dream! The day started a bit overcast and rainy, but the sun soon pierced through the clouds and created a beautiful backdrop for us. MA and Alan live in Virginia, but the Florida heat and rain did not cast a damper on their happiness!We did not let the rain stop us from shooting. These two even make a parking garage look haute! We headed over to St. Petersburg beach near the Don Cesar Hotel as soon as the weather cleared up for us to capture some more images.And I will finish with some of my absolute faves of Maryangela and Alan.I am so glad to have met you both. People like you are reason I love photographing weddings. I love capturing your love, your spirit and your joy for one another. Thank you for letting me be a part of this time in your lives.

On a side note, the re-branding process for Andi Diamond Photography was just completed, thanks to Manta Creative. A quick peak of some of the new elements are above. My wedding website, portrait website, and high school senior website (coming soon), Facebook fan page, and blog will all be getting launched with the new artwork, design, and logo. I am super excited to share it with you, so keep your eyes peeled!

St. Pete Wedding Photos for Maryangela + Alan

I had a really good feeling about Alan and Maryangela the first time I met them at my studio. It was obvious that they were crazy in love with each other and could not wait to get married. Ahhhh…a wedding photographer’s dream! Beautiful people overflowing with love and adoration for one another! What more could I have asked for? Couple that with beautiful weather out on St. Petersburg Beach and we had all the makings for a perfect wedding day. I met Maryangela at the Tradewinds on St. Petersburg Beach. She was incredibly relaxed, and of course stunning.

Charlie and Nick from Charles Edward Salon helped Maryangela look especially gorgeous.

I love capturing details, and especially when they have extremely important meaning. The image in the upper left is in memory of Maryangela’s father. I know he was smiling down on you, as always. Special thanks to Joseph at Seminole Flowers for the beautiful creations.Gotta love a little (or a lotta!) bling!Special thanks to Weddings On a Whim for setting up the wedding on the beach. Love the details!The wedding finished just after sunset, giving us just enough light to create some beautiful images.The evening wrapped with a delicious dinner at 400 Beach in St. Petersburg, near the Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club and The Pier. Delicious cupcakes were provided by The Cupcake Spot. Maryangela and Alan INSISTED that I take some home with me. OK, twist my arm.I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon in Key West. Holiday Cards from Andi Diamond Photography in Tampa!

As I wrap up all of the holidays orders for 2009, I wanted to share a few of the very special Christmas/holiday cards that I was able to create for my amazing clients this year! It was a fun, busy, and successful holiday season for Andi Diamond Photography, and I owe it all to my FAB clients! Thank you for putting your trust in me and allowing me to capture your art! I am already booking holiday photo sessions for 2010 (which I highly recommend you grab a session now to ensure you get the day/time you want. The weather played a nasty role in canceling/rescheduling some on-location sessions this year, so booking ahead of time will give you the flexibility to reschedule should you need it….and it will help me get to bed before 3am. HA!). The studio will be closed Dec 23-27 and Dec 30-Jan 5. See you in 2010!

As you may know, the past couple months have been very challenging for my family. My Dad was in critical care in the ICU and the doctors were not too positive on the outcome of his condition. I am thrilled to share that he is doing great- a couple minor set backs but he is alive and well, and now lives in Tampa Bay. During all of this, I had many nights of reflective thought, prayer, and questions. My dad and I have not always been as close as I would like, but I prayed that if he got a “second chance” that it would give us the opportunity to have a relationship more like the one I always envisioned. During his very critical phase, I started thinking about the fact that my last portraits with my dad were over 7 years ago at mine and Pete’s wedding. And he really does not have any portraits with Ethan (yes, I am the shoe-maker with holes in my own shoes!). I told myself that if he makes it out of this medical challenge, that I would get some portraits created of us together. To always have and cherish. Me and My Dad. My Dad and his grandson. Our family. I asked God, PLEASE do not take him yet- I am not ready. I wanted this. No, I needed this. I called my friend and amazing fellow photog, Alycia Alvarez. I knew immediately that I wanted her to create this vision for me- with the style and class that is only Alycia. And as I knew she would……she created exactly what I have envisioned (only better):Thank you Alycia for your amazing talent. And thank you to all of my friends and clients who shared thoughts and prayers during the last couple months- it means more than you will ever know. xo

Tampa Family Photography Celebrating 20 Years!

When Kim first called me, she had a story to share. A true reason why she wanted (and NEEDED) custom portrait photography. You see, she and Wes would be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary on November 1st. They never had wedding pictures created. She has been wanting this forever, and now was the perfect time for them to celebrate their love. She knew what she wanted- classic, beautiful, timeless black and white relationship portraiture. No props, no gimmicks, just something that showed their love. I was so honored and thrilled that she chose Andi Diamond Photography to create this vision for her (and a few other special images just for Wes!) I hope this makes you smile, Kim and Wes- I know it made me!Happy, happy anniversary! May you have may more years of health, happiness, and blessed times together!

Tampa Wedding Photographer Learns from the Best

Ok, ok, so I am so behind on my blog posts- I know. That’s 10 lashings with a wet noodle! This is my busiest time of year with sessions every day and night, events out the wazoo, workshops, vendor shows….oh my! Oh, and trying to keep a personal life. What is that? I think Pete and Ethan have forgotten what I look like Anywho, here is a super FAB video from a recent wedding photography workshop I attended in Miami with some of the country’s BEST wedding photogs. My philosophy- if you want to be the best, surround yourself with the best, pick the brains of the best, soak in all you can! Grab every educational opportunity you can afford- not only to enhance your skill set, but your business savvy as well.
