When Tara first contacted me on the phone regarding wedding photography for her and John’s Clearwater Beach wedding, we instantly connected.  It is extremely important to me to connect with my couples, especially when they live out of state like this couple does, and I need to build a relationship and trust on the phone and via e-mail.  So a little about this fab duo….Tara was high school diver and also dove for Notre Dame, which is where she met her future husband, John, her freshman year.  I could tell I loved her spirit and energy, so I was especially looking forward to getting to know her and John and to their engagement session.  They would both be in Tampa for a quick visit for Thanksgiving and we were fortunate to be able to meet in person and rock out an awesome shoot.  Engagement sessions are so fun, and really give me the chance to get to know my couples, while giving the couple a “dry run” in front of the camera (and the opportunity to create some beautiful artwork).  So we customized the session to fit John and Tara’s fun and sparkly personalities, and even did some yoga inspired images (Tara teaches yoga and is a performer for Sea World!).  John was super excited about the engagement session, too- and I give him huge props for being up for anything.  Check it out:
