]]> http://andidiamond.com/blog/2011/05/childrens-photo-shoot-for-commercial-photography-in-tampa/feed/ 0 Flashes of Hope….Celebrating Children with Cancer http://andidiamond.com/blog/2011/05/tampa-charity-photographer-for-flashes-of-hope/ http://andidiamond.com/blog/2011/05/tampa-charity-photographer-for-flashes-of-hope/#comments Mon, 16 May 2011 21:17:52 +0000 admin http://andidiamond.com/blog/?p=3456 As you may know about me, photography has always been a part of my life.  But my first career was as a child life specialist, working in pediatrics in children’s hospitals.  Some of my favorite children to work with was the pediatric oncology population.  The children (and their families) never ceased to amaze me and they constantly inspired me with their positive attitudes and “can-do” mentality.  I am blessed to still be able to work with many children with cancer through such organizations as Flashes of Hope.   Flashes of Hope is a nonprofit organization that changes the way children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses see themselves through the gift of photography and raises money for pediatric cancer research.  I was honored to participate in this photo shoot at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa today and wanted to share a few quick teasers of some of the amazing families that I was able to capture.This little cutie gave me a run for my money….ha!I love the laughter.  It warms my heart!And this little peanut had to be the easiest 1 year old I have ever photographed.  She actually posed and worked the camera!  It was awesome!  But the best emotion was when she got cuddles from her mommy!

Thank you Flashes of Hope for letting me be a photographer for such a wonderful organization.  I love every minute of it and am so glad to be able to capture these memories for these beautiful children and their families.
