Newborn Photography with Logan!

I first met Art and Nicole when I was their Tampa wedding photographer early last year (see images HERE). So I was thrilled to be able to photograph their first born baby boy, Logan. Here are some teasers from his photo session for the proud parents (and a little something to give his Grandma to swoon over…..smiles, Arleen!)I love photographing new babies and their new daddies!And new mommies with their new babies….nothing sweeter!The “curly- ness” of newborn photography is one of my favorite aspects.Thank you so much Art and Nicole for trusting me to create these images for you. Tampa Children’s Photographer- Meet Little Luca

I will start this diary entry backwards because it is just too precious to not share this story. After I left my studio having finished the D’s family and baby portraits, I walked into my house and told Pete, “I just photographed the most precious little boy ever. He was so adorable!” Cue the jealous 4 years old…at which point my son, Ethan, said to me, “Mommy, I thought you said “I” was the cutest, most adorable little boy ever??!! So now I am not??” Humm…try to explain that one to your son, Mommy! ha! Flashes of Hope

Last month I was blessed to be able to photograph several families with children with cancer for Flashes of Hope at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa. Flashes of Hope is a nonprofit organization that changes the way children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses see themselves through the gift of photography and raises money for pediatric cancer research. Here is a slideshow with some of my favorite images from the day of these amazing children.

Thank you Flashes of Hope and all the wonderful volunteers who made that day possible. Fellow photographers, I encourage you to check out this great organization and please give back to your community by sharing your talent with these families if you are able. Have a wonderful 2011!

Welcome to the World baby Blair (Tampa Newborn/Baby Photographer)

There is something so special to me about photographing newborns. This newborn photo session was especially incredible. Blair’s parents are both in the military and stationed in different parts of the country. I had the honor of photographing Blair during the first week that her daddy met her! It gave me goosebumps to know that I was able to capture those moments. Natalie took on the role of new mommy like a pro and Daniel had that instant bond with his daughter- it was such a joy to capture these three.

Thank you Natalie and Daniel for letting me be a part of such a very special time in your lives. CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your baby girl!

Sophia and Vicky’s Couture Album

One of the most impressive ways to display your custom portraiture is with a couture coffee table album from Andi Diamond Photography. I designed Vicky and Sophia’s 10×10 couture album from their on-location family portrait session in downtown Tampa. I have been photographing Sophia since she was a newborn, actually since her mommy was pregnant with her! It is so beautiful for me to be able to see her grow and become a little girl. On a side note, we have a couple great events coming up. The Tampa Junior League’s Holiday Gift Market starts Friday, November 5 and runs through Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Every year the show continues to grown with hundreds of fab vendors! Hope you can make it out! Also, on Saturday, November 6 in Hyde Park, Fit Kids Playground is from 9am-noon. Back by popular demand, And of Andi Diamond Photography will be teaching her “Take Better Pictures of Your Children Workshop” on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Palm Wellness in Hyde Park, South Tampa. The class is at 6:30pm and covers the basics of photography, including how to use a DSLR (though you don’t have to have a DSLR to attend the photography workshop). All mommies and daddies are invited, especially if you want to learn some tricks from the pros! I knew at Dan and Trisha’s maternity portrait session that I would enjoy working with them. But I had no idea how much I would adore photographing Alexia (ok, so I had an idea…but this was just silly fun!) Not only did I get to photograph one of my favorite subjects- newborns and their new parents, but I also got to create some generational portraits as Trisha’s mom came to their newborn session, as well. Love that!Congratulations on your baby girl, Trisha and Dan. I am thrilled to be able to photograph her throughout her first year. Thank you for your trust! A

One of the best things about being a photographer is that I get to capture and document the growth and development of my littlest clients. I get to watch them grown and change and turn into little people. When I first “met” Lily, it was at her mommy’s maternity portrait session, and then again at her newborn portrait session, and now she is sitting up on her own at this portrait session.Her big sister, Chloe just turned 4 and of course wanted to get in on the action!The girls were both so happy, it made my job easy. Just look at those cheeks!Special thanks to D’s Darling Designs for the fantastic wardrobe. Lily and Chloe’s closets are stocked full of her great designs! And I am pretty sure that their mommy brought their entire closet tot heir session.
