Life as I would imagine it in the F. household is full of smiles, games, hugs, kisses, and maybe even some mischief (ok, definitely some mischief!). So I would expect the same thing when photographing 3 brothers under the age of 4. My little boy just turned 4 and I know what that entails- so I have to admit, I said a little prayer before I headed out to the University of Tampa in downtown South Tampa that day for my portrait session with Simon, Graham, and Luke. I took a deep breath, put on my game face, and went to work. As it turns out, I did not even need to rally because the boys were a cake walk- they really were! Whew! (I sighed a huge relief! ha!). I think all of us moms will agree that we would be happy to have a Mother’s Week or a Mother’s Month even! I want to give you the opportunity to cherish this time with your children forever, so I am offering Mother’s Day Mini’s! These are 15 minute mini sessions in my South Tampa studio, now through Wednesday, April 21. Here is the catch- Moms MUST be in the images (or a least one). Thrust me on this one, moms. Or at least that is how her big brother, Logan, refers to her. He doesn’t mean anything mean by it. You see, he is 3, and Disney is his most favorite place in the whole, wide world. So it is appropriate that he refer to his baby sister as “The Evil Queen”, right? For the rest of us, we will call her Layne. Though I will call her Laynie. After all, I call her mom, Bud- and have done so since the 10th grade. Long story, but it has stuck and that is how we still refer to each other. Vicky and I have been best friends since elementary school. Though we went to separate colleges (myself to the University of Florida for undergrad and the University of South Florida for graduate school) and her to Florida Atlantic University for undergrad and “that other state university” for graduate school), our paths brought us both to Tampa Bay, and to 7 houses away from each other. Our husbands have even become the best of friends, too (and we often talk about how much it would stink if they did not get along! 
) We were the maids-of-honor in each others weddings, in each other’s delivery rooms for the births of our children, and soon I will get to do it again as Vicky and Adam welcome their daughter into the world next month. Here are some of my faves from their recent maternity session at my studio. The last has to be my favorite…well, just because that is the epitome of a 3 year old- ha!
Bud, Adam, and Logie…I love you all with my whole heart and am so thrilled for you. Cannot wait to cuddle Laynie and share the love!
