Fri, 18 May 2012 19:26:23 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.0.4 Our 10 Year Vow Renewal at Hammock Beach Resort http://andidiamond.com/blog/2012/03/wedding-photographer-at-hammock-beach-resort/ http://andidiamond.com/blog/2012/03/wedding-photographer-at-hammock-beach-resort/#comments Thu, 15 Mar 2012 13:58:04 +0000 admin http://andidiamond.com/blog/?p=3949 Ten years ago, on the rainiest day that Tampa has ever seen, I married my best friend.  OK, so maybe it was not THE rainiest day- but to this bride it sure seemed that way.  It was rainy enough to have our outside wedding moved to inside.  Besides vowing marriage that day to the love of my life, I vowed that in ten years we would celebrate our vows with a renewal- and hopefully outside.  We decided to have our vow renewal at a place that has become “our place”, the place we vacation every summer with some of our best friends and their families- Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast.  We are blessed with such an amazing group of friends, that all of the details for our events came together in a spectacular way, all captured by one of my best friends from college, Kelly, of Pure Sugar Studios.  (Kelly’s wedding was the first wedding I ever photographed several years ago when I was just a “newbie”.  Needless to say, I think I got the better end of this deal!  ha!)  After photographing so many weddings myself, I knew there was so much that I could do with my details and decor to make it beautiful and unique.  I chose a lemon and lavender theme, and used a ton of DIY elements.  (more on this in another post where I will show how we created our centerpieces and what we did to save money).  Of course, as this production started to grow and expand, Pete wondered why we could not have just gone to Bern’s for dinner.  HA- silly man! ]]> http://andidiamond.com/blog/2010/06/modern-photography-in-tampa-florida/feed/ 0 Graham’s Album Wins 2nd Place – Tampa Birth Photography http://andidiamond.com/blog/2010/05/birth-photography-albums-tampa/ http://andidiamond.com/blog/2010/05/birth-photography-albums-tampa/#comments Thu, 13 May 2010 04:45:36 +0000 admin http://andidiamond.com/blog/?p=2402 Super excited to share this very special album.  I have had the opportunity to capture the births of one of my beloved clients, Melissa.  Birth photography is such a powerful, intimate, and special event that I am blessed to photograph.  It is a time that goes by in such a blur.  I really wish I would have had a photographer capture Ethan’s birth for us (instead I had my mom, gotta love her and her out of focus images of Ethan!  She spent a large amount of time in the bathroom crying- though she will disagree with me on that one.  Fortunately, she is not too down with technology and does not even know what a blog is- much less actually read mine so I am probably pretty safe in posting that…but just in case- LOVE you. Mom!).  I am honored to have been able to capture the birth of both of Melissa’s babies.  Here is the album from Graham’s birth.  It won second place in the album print competition last night at the Tampa Area Professional Photographers Association (TAPPA) meeting.  Times flies so fast…we actually just had Graham’s 1 year portrait session.

On a side note, if you are interested in birth photography and live in Tampa Bay, please contact me asap as I accept a very limited number of birth photography assignments as I am on-call 24-7 for the mommy-to-be.

With such a beautiful couple, I cannot wait to design their next album after their wedding in July!  :)
