Holden’s Newborn Portrait Session – Pembroke Pines, FL

It was tenth grade, Child Care class at good ole’ Cooper City High School when Laurie and I first met- and the friendship was instant. High school drama, college drama, grown up drama- we have seen it all, been through it all, and lived it all together. When Laurie met Gary, we all knew he was the one- and we all wanted him to enter into our circle- and stay there. And he did. Now our circle has a new member- Holden, and we could not be more thrilled. I photographed Holden’s newborn portrait session when he was just 10 days old, at Laurie and Gary’s house in Pembroke Pines, Florida (just west of Ft. Lauderdale). And now as we all sit here celebrating the 4th of July in Boca Grande, I could not be happier that our high school drama has transcended into adulthood, where we can all watch each other’s children grow and spend holidays together, sipping cocktails at the beach. Lovely Little Laynie’s Baby Photo Shoot

I feel like I was just standing in my driveway (though it was 9 months ago already) when Vicky said, “I took the test…..and I passed”. YIPPEE! The test of course was no ordinary math test. It was the test telling us that the K. family would soon be getting a new addition, and that Logan would be a big brother. It seemed like just a couple weeks ago that we were creating Vicky’s maternity portraits (see here). And much to our surprise, Laynie made her entrance into the world a bit early, but is now home and doing wonderfully! I am so happy that Laynie is doing so well. She is so beautiful and kissable! Ethan asks about her first thing every morning (hummm…is he hinting something??) and loves her so much- as do Pete and I! We could not be more thrilled to be such a special part of your lives. Love you tons, V, Ala, Logie, and Laynie! xoxo

I love photographing newborns. I love the folds of their little bodies. I love how tender and sweet their skin is. I especially love capturing the relationship between the baby and his family, especially when he has an older sibling. Take a peak at Liam and Christian’s slideshow, and you will see why I love my job so much! This melts me….

Tampa Family Photos – The D. Family Just Grew…by 4 Feet

Meet Max and Ellen. The precious duo recently entered the D. family, joining their “big” sister Cate (who is all of 19 months old!) Through the beauty of Facebook, I reconnected with Jacqui, an old friend from high school in South Florida, who works with Scott- Max and Ellen’s daddy. Jacqui connected me with the D. family and the rest is history. I immediately connected with Tara and felt like I had known her for years. I know it is just a brief amount of time that I spend capturing these images for my clients, but for me….I truly love getting to know my clients, hearing their stories, and becoming friends. I love meeting their families and capturing generational images- like this one of Tara, her mom, and the twins:And this capture makes my heart sing. Oh, how they love each other now (just as I am sure they will when they are 13!)Wonderful to get to know you, Tara. I am truly looking forward to capturing more artwork of your family as it continues to grow and change!

Tampa Newborn Photos – Oh What Fun They Will Have…

when these two brothers are old enough to really play together. Right now, Oliver is interested in him, but more interested in having mommy and daddy to himself. As to be expected when you are only one and a new baby brother comes into the picture, right? I first met the K. family at Stephanie and Paul’s maternity shoot for Oliver- which was not that long ago- ha! And now they are blessed to welcome Nolan into their lives (to the possible chagrin of Oliver). But look out ladies- I can already tell these two are going to be heart breakers, especially with those beautiful eyes!Congrats Stephanie, Paul, and Oliver. I am so happy to be able to capture these precious moments in your life. I hope you are able to get some sleep in the next few weeks.

Tampa Newborn Photos of Baby Lily!

Just as cute and as sweet as she could be, Lily is here to be adored by her whole family- especially big sis, Chloe! Funny story with this newborn session. As with many parents of newborns, you tend to be in a bit of a fog. Michael pulled up to the front door of my studio to let Courtney and Chloe out the the car and then went to park.Â Well, I guess in his daze, he did not realize that he had Lily in the car with him still. We watched from the window laughing as he got out of the car and started walking towards my studio, no clue that he forgot the main subject! ha! Ok, so he did not get but 3 seconds from the car before we shouted…..”Umm…want to grab the baby?” HA! It was rather comical, and I can appreciate that newborn “fog”. (Sorry Michael…did not mean to thrown you under the bus- but that was too funny to not share!) So once we got the whole family inside and started our portrait session, this is a little bit of what we created:So thrilled to be a part of this very special time in your lives, M. family!Â I am excited to see Lily and Chloe grow (but not too fast!!)

Little Miss Marlowe (or Mili-peed as her parents lovingly call her) may be destined for a future as a writer. Her daddy is the editor in chief of UC Tampa Magazine. And with a name like Marlowe, she is definitely destined for fame! Her mommy absolutely glowed at her maternity portrait session, but now she radiates! There is something amazing about becoming a parent that just makes you smile from the inside out- as Jay and Heather will attest to!This image just melts me:Congrats Heather and Jay! I am thrilled to be able to capture this special time in your lives for you!

On a side note, we are headed to New Orleans to watch the Gators win the Sugar Bowl. I will be so sad to see my “boyfriend” Tim Tewbow at his last game (and possibly Urban, too!). Here’s hoping we go out with a HUGE W! Enjoy your New Year’s, gang!

This portrait session was so fun! Not only was Bella a charm to photograph, but her mom and dad are hysterical and had me rolling. Kelly is the type of new mom that we all wish we could be- laid back, easy going, and always smiling. She takes it all in strides. And Darren? Darren laughs with Kelly (or at her, maybe?? ha!) They have so much fun together and I know Bella is such a welcomed addition to their happy household!I cannot wait to capture all of Bella’s milestones, Kelly and Darren (and her mommy and daddy’s, too!)

ps- On a side note, thank you to everyone who came out to the Tampa Yacht Club today for the holiday bazaar! I could not have asked for a more beautiful day!

Baby Photos of The 8th Member of the H. Family!

OK, so no…Tonya is not the octo-mom, but including her and her husband, her new baby girl, Hope, makes her the proud mommy of 6, so a family of 8 (that is one heck of a mini van, right?!) It was very apparent to me with her calm, cool, connectedness that Tonya possessed that this was clearly not her first go-round with a newborn. Not only is Hope stunningly beautiful, but her mommy is, too! Here are just few of my many faves:Tonya, you are such a blessed mommy and I am so excited for you. Cannot wait to photograph the entire H. crew for their holiday portraits…..that is going to be FUN! Looking forward to it! Andi
