I recently had the pleasure of photographing sweet baby, Slayton, and her big sis, Marler. Like most newborn photo session, we had a lot of laughs, a lot of “aww’s” and a lot of, well, poo. HA! (I know Mommy is nodding her head in laughter and agreement, right, Catherine?) Take a peek at Slayton’s newborn session:

Meet Max and Ellen. The precious duo recently entered the D. family, joining their “big” sister Cate (who is all of 19 months old!) Through the beauty of Facebook, I reconnected with Jacqui, an old friend from high school in South Florida, who works with Scott- Max and Ellen’s daddy. Jacqui connected me with the D. family and the rest is history. I immediately connected with Tara and felt like I had known her for years. I know it is just a brief amount of time that I spend capturing these images for my clients, but for me….I truly love getting to know my clients, hearing their stories, and becoming friends. I love meeting their families and capturing generational images- like this one of Tara, her mom, and the twins:
And this capture makes my heart sing. Oh, how they love each other now (just as I am sure they will when they are 13!)

when these two brothers are old enough to really play together. Right now, Oliver is interested in him, but more interested in having mommy and daddy to himself. As to be expected when you are only one and a new baby brother comes into the picture, right? I first met the K. family at Stephanie and Paul’s maternity shoot for Oliver- which was not that long ago- ha! And now they are blessed to welcome Nolan into their lives (to the possible chagrin of Oliver). But look out ladies- I can already tell these two are going to be heart breakers, especially with those beautiful eyes!
Congrats Stephanie, Paul, and Oliver. I am so happy to be able to capture these precious moments in your life. I hope you are able to get some sleep in the next few weeks.Â
Just as cute and as sweet as she could be, Lily is here to be adored by her whole family- especially big sis, Chloe! Funny story with this newborn session. As with many parents of newborns, you tend to be in a bit of a fog. Michael pulled up to the front door of my studio to let Courtney and Chloe out the the car and then went to park. Well, I guess in his daze, he did not realize that he had Lily in the car with him still. We watched from the window laughing as he got out of the car and started walking towards my studio, no clue that he forgot the main subject! ha! Ok, so he did not get but 3 seconds from the car before we shouted…..”Umm…want to grab the baby?” HA! It was rather comical, and I can appreciate that newborn “fog”. (Sorry Michael…did not mean to thrown you under the bus- but that was too funny to not share!) So once we got the whole family inside and started our portrait session, this is a little bit of what we created:
