Lovely Little Laynie’s Baby Photo Shoot

I feel like I was just standing in my driveway (though it was 9 months ago already) when Vicky said, “I took the test…..and I passed”. YIPPEE! The test of course was no ordinary math test. It was the test telling us that the K. family would soon be getting a new addition, and that Logan would be a big brother. It seemed like just a couple weeks ago that we were creating Vicky’s maternity portraits (see here). And much to our surprise, Laynie made her entrance into the world a bit early, but is now home and doing wonderfully! I am so happy that Laynie is doing so well. She is so beautiful and kissable! Ethan asks about her first thing every morning (hummm…is he hinting something??) and loves her so much- as do Pete and I! We could not be more thrilled to be such a special part of your lives. Love you tons, V, Ala, Logie, and Laynie! xoxo

I love photographing newborns. I love the folds of their little bodies. I love how tender and sweet their skin is. I especially love capturing the relationship between the baby and his family, especially when he has an older sibling. Take a peak at Liam and Christian’s slideshow, and you will see why I love my job so much! This melts me….

The Junior Editor of UC Tampa Magazine – Newborn Photos

Little Miss Marlowe (or Mili-peed as her parents lovingly call her) may be destined for a future as a writer. Her daddy is the editor in chief of UC Tampa Magazine. And with a name like Marlowe, she is definitely destined for fame! Her mommy absolutely glowed at her maternity portrait session, but now she radiates! There is something amazing about becoming a parent that just makes you smile from the inside out- as Jay and Heather will attest to!This image just melts me:Congrats Heather and Jay! I am thrilled to be able to capture this special time in your lives for you!

On a side note, we are headed to New Orleans to watch the Gators win the Sugar Bowl. I will be so sad to see my “boyfriend” Tim Tewbow at his last game (and possibly Urban, too!). Here’s hoping we go out with a HUGE W! Enjoy your New Year’s, gang!

Don’t you just wish sometimes that time stood still? As we all know, it does not- though I do wish that I could bottle up and put it under my pillow for safe keeping. It seems like just the other day I was in the delivery room photographing Graham’s birth (Actually, it seems like just the other day I was in the delivery room photographing his big brother’s birth- and that was 2 years ago!) Now Graham is 7 months old and as precious as ever! The H. family holds an especially special place in my heart- they were some of my very first clients. They believed in me from the very beginning, when I made the leap of faith from my safe career in pediatrics to the creative world of photography! And now- probably 10 shoots and a dozen referrals later, I am thrilled to continue to capture their art for their beautiful family!Big hugs to you, H. family…for all you do for Andi Diamond Photography and for letting me be a part of your lives!

Tampa Newborn Photographer for Sophia!

Believe it or not, Sophia and Stokes (a few posts down), are the same age! But Sophia is a peanut compared to Stokes. So funny how babies can be so similar, but so completely different. This beautiful young lady was just as sweet as she could be, and you may remember her mommy from her maternity portrait session.I love seeing the transformation of my maternity portrait clients as they turn into mommies. They walk into my studio as entirely new people- glowing even more than before (OK, so they may not feel “glowing” just a few days after delivering their baby…but I can see the shine! ha!)Vicky, you are an amazing and beautiful mommy! Isn’t that the coolest name? I LOVE it! This kiddo is destined for greatness- and stardom with a name like that, right?! What a beautiful family I had the opportunity to photograph in my South Tampa studio recently. Take a peak at some of my faves of Kierstin, Sam, and Diesel:So we all know I bleed orange and blue, but Sam does have a pretty impressive Alabama tattoo that we had to show off. If I was savy enough in photoshop, I would have slapped a Gator tat on his arm! ha! That would have been so much better! (On a side note, Tim Tebow is doing a lot better though we still do not know his status for the LSU game. Coach Meyer says he could sit out for 2 weeks and still start- he has earned that right. Get well soon, Tim! (as if we are Bff’s or something…)

Tampa Infant Photographer Captures Baby Stokes!

When Stokes’ mommy and daddy walked into my studio with this little bundle of joy, I thought surely I must have written down his age incorrectly. There was no way this big guy was only 6 weeks old. Well, he is. And to see how strong he is and his facial expressions- I still did not believe this kiddo was not at least 3 or 4 months old! (But I am pretty sure his parents were telling me the truth! ha!) Joy was an art major in college and spent some time in the dark room- the REAL darkroom…not the digital darkroom! Oh, how I LOVE film. (OK, so I shoot digital- but I still LOVE film!) There is just something magical about being in the darkroom for hours on end….but I digress. Here are some of my faves!

Wonderful to meet you Pit, Joy, and Stokes. I look forward to photographing your whole family…and seeing Stokes grow!

Newborn Photos of Baby Chase!

One of the very incredible things about my job is that I get to see children grow. I get to see families grow. I get to capture and document all of these changes for families to forever keep and treasure. Megan and Rick were some of my first clients when Andi Diamond Photography was in its infancy stages with the pregnancy of their first son, Cole. Now I am capturing their artwork for their newest addition- Chase! At first I did not see the resemblance between Cole and Chase, but the more I look at these images- it is amazing how similar they look!

Newborn Photos for Baby Beau and Family

Meet Beau and big sis’ Olivia…oh- and his Mommy, Jamie, and Daddy, Paul (Funny how once kids come along, mommies and daddies are put on the back burner, right? ha!) Beau is one of the many newborns who I have had the pleasure of photographing recently- and like all the others, he is definitely his own little person, so unique in his own way. Here are some of my faves:I have a soft spot for old stuffed animals. My mom recently gave me my Flospy, the yellow bear that I toted around for years (I won’t tell you for how many years…but let’s just say it was probably a few too many!). He is all worn, fur half gone. I loved him so! This next series is very special because the stuffed animal has special meaning to Jamie. It has been around for a very long time!Photographing newborns with their toddler big sister or brother can pose some fun challenges. Heck, photographing toddlers by themselves can pose some fun challenges- ha! But I LOVE those challenges! Here is big sis’ Olivia with her baby!Such an incredible family!Jamie and Paul, your family is so beautiful and I am thrilled that I was able to capture these memories for you!
