Ok, so I want to share a little secret. Beach family portraits are not always my fave (there, I said it!) I guess because I always think of a family sitting in their khakis and white polos and it all seems very clique and traditional to me- not my style of photography at all! This is one reason why I love having portrait consultations before our portrait sessions. Not only do we go over style but we chat about wardrobe, color, and pulling it all together. The L. family did just that! They pulled it all together and we had the most amazing beach portrait session in St. Petersburg. The colors, the light, the energy- there was such a “click” with this family portrait session that it just made me smile. It helps that Heather is super organized and she knew how to make it all work. She is the owner of Your Home Editor, so this really came as second nature to her. On a side note, we are completely booked November. We do have some openings for portrait sessions in December (especially for newborn photography), provided you are not pressed to get your custom artwork for the holidays. 
Rain looked at me and said, “I know I should be nervous right now. But I am just so excited. Today I get to marry my best friend”, and a glow came across her face that made the room light up. She was beaming with happiness, joy, excitement, and love as this was the day that she would marry Jeff. The Hyatt Clearwater Beach was the location where these two would exchange wedding vows for their Clearwater Beach wedding, and the day was nothing less than idyllic. 
Just before I finished photographing their wedding, Rain and Jeff hopped in front of the Clearwater skyline and this is what we captured. I think is is my favorite image of the night! (For my photographer friends, this was shot with my Nikon D3s, ISO 5000, F 2.8, 1/50 using off camera flash.)
