Camie + William…Engaged! (Tampa Engagement/Wedding Photographer)

My first meeting with Camie was online.  You see, her and William live in Ohio and they found me online in their quest to secure a wedding photographer for their St. Petersburg Beach wedding in April.  Our first official in-person meeting was at their recent engagement session.  I adored them even more after meeting them and getting to know them and their love story.  And their story is quite sweet.  They had actually known each other for ten years before they got engaged.  The majority of those years were spent as friends.  They both knew something was there- but the timing was never right.  Then William (affectionately dubbed “Bubba” by his friends and loved ones) joined the service, and again the timing was not right.  But during the past couple years, the stars aligned and their paths headed in the same direction- and now a wedding will soon follow!tampa-st-petersburg-engagement-wedding-photographytampa-st-petersburg-engagement-wedding-photography-1tampa-st-petersburg-engagement-wedding-photography-3I have a feeling that Bubba keeps Camie laughing ALOT!  He rocked a few “Blue Steele”  poses all on his own- it was hilarious!  I love this collage of images:tampa-st-petersburg-engagement-wedding-photography-4tampa-st-petersburg-engagement-wedding-photography-21I loved photographing you and capturing this special time in your lives, Camie and William.  I am really looking forward to your wedding day- and then your trash the dress session (keep your eyes peeled to my diary for those images!)  Stay warm in Ohio and I will see you in April!  :) Andi

Bert + Jessica….Married! (Tampa Wedding Photography)

They go together like peanut butter and jelly, like Lady and the Tramp (my favorite childhood movie), like yin and yang.  When I first met Jessica and Bert, I could just tell they were meant to be.  He makes her laugh, and she just rolls with the punches.  She is organized and put together, and he is more lazaire fair.  They just plain go together..and well!  Jessica and Bert got married on Saturday and I was thrilled to capture their amazing day.  The day began at Jessica’s parents house where she got ready.tampa-st-petersburg-wedding-bridal-photography1I am completely in love with Jessica’s lashes!  Too FAB!tampa-st-petersburg-wedding-bridal-photography-21The ceremony at Lake Magdalene United Methodist Church was so beautiful and emotional.tampa-st-petersburg-wedding-bridal-photography-1tampa-st-petersburg-wedding-bridal-photography-3tampa-st-petersburg-wedding-bridal-photography-4The reception was held at Bayanihan Arts ans Event Center and was an all out ball!  Often brides ask me my thoughts on up-lighting….this is why i say YES!  So incredibly beautiful!tampa-st-petersburg-wedding-bridal-photography-52CONGRATULATIONS Jessica and Bert.  I am so excited for you and was honored to share in your day.  Have a terrific time in DR; come back tan and happy!  For all of Jessica and Bert’s friends and family who are looking at these images, please share you love and well wishes with them by clicking “add a comment” below.  ENJOY!

The U. Family (Tampa Family Photography)

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE my career?  One of the many aspects that makes it so incredibly special is that I get to see children and families grow.  I have been photographing Sophia since she was a newborn, and she is now the ripe old age of 2 1/2, full of spunk and personality!  I know her mommy is checking my blog daily, so I can’t leave her hanging any more!  Just a few of my select faves!children-and-family-photography-tampa-baychildren-and-family-photography-tampa-bay-1children-and-family-photography-tampa-bay-2And because I love me a good ole’ out-take or two……I guess Sophia thought her daddy made a pretty good salt lick!  ha!children-and-family-photography-tampa-bay-3Loved creating these images for you, Claudine and Joe!  And so glad Sophia had fun, too!  xo  :) Andi

Jennifer + Bill….expecting! (Tampa maternity/pregnancy photography)

Maternity portraits are among my favorite types of portraits to create.  So often the mommies-to-be feel less than fabulous, and it is up to me to help them feel beautiful and celebrate their curves.  I loved doing this with Jennifer and Bill.  They are expecting their first baby, and are overwhelmed with joy and excitement!  tampa-maternity-pregnancy-photographytampa-maternity-pregnancy-photography-2Funny side note….I consider myself to be pretty tall (about 5’9″ on a good day), but Jen and Bill and very tall!  My studio ceiling is pitched but I kept catching it into my frame with many of my shots.  Bill told me a funny story that I just had to share.  While volunteering at a local elementary school, he overheard some young children talking as they walked past him.  One said to the other “Is he a GIANT??”.  HA!  Out of the mouths of babes!  Here is one more of the “giants” with me shooting from a stool.tampa-maternity-pregnancy-photography-1Can’t wait to photograph your baby girl, Jennifer and Bill!  So happy for you!!  :) Andi

Nashville here I come!

iusa_logo1As if this Florida girl was not cold enough, I am headed to Nashville, Tenn for Imaging USA!  Bbbrrr!  It is the Professional Photographers of American’s national conference and I can’t wait!  The very best in the industry will be there not only teaching about all things photography related but all the businesses aspects involved with running a successful photography studio as well.  (not to mention the most amazing trade show….I promised myself to try not to spend all of my 2010 profits before I even make any!  ha!)  Oh, and some of my fab photog girlfriends will be there, too!!  So excited to hang with Kelly Hite of Pure Sugar Studios, Edie Black of Edie Black Photography, Christine Ryan of Christine Nicole Photography, Robyn Osten of Life’s Little Celebrations, Alycia Alvarez of Alycia Alvarez Photography, Joy Vertz of Shoot the Moon, and Teri Mason of Teri Mason Photography!  Cocktails anyone?!  Oh how bored our husbands would be with all our photography chatter.  Pete would scream and probably pull out his hair!  ha!  So, the studio will be closed through Wednesday but feel free to give me a shout or drop me a line if you need to reach me.  Stay warm, Tampa!!  xo
